The Famous Bar

Recognized by AOL's City Guide "Best of..." The Famous Bar, on Chippewa in the city of Saint Louis, has become one of the area's top bars for entertainment.

We play there a few times a year, and walk away pleased each time. It has some of the best looking women, and this weekend was no exception. It's also a great place to catch up with old friends and make new.

Old friends included The O'Briens. Tom goes back with the band farther than the band itself. He ran sound for the band for many many gigs. It was his garage where we became a garage band back in the 20th century. His wife Debbie goes back equally as far, and has managed to find the secret of getting cuter each day. (Not so for Tom) They were out for the evening with old friend Kristy Arcowiczhizlevskivicz. (not sure about the spelling, I think all the letters are silent)

The Eberles were there, Larry and Lynn, as were Jim and Lori Gould, in town from Chicago (the windy city) Jim is another former sound/light guy, but also played trumpet and flugelhorn with the band in the 70's and 80's.

We are all pretty much in "Nash equilibrium" - basically meaning that none of us will tell stories on the others, as the outcome could potentially be devastating to all. (see also "Mutual Assured Destruction")

The place was crowded, the women were beautiful, and as usual, and everyone had a great time.

If you like martinis - foo-foo or otherwise, put The Famous Bar on your list of clubs to visit.
