The Famous Bar

The Famous Bar - in the land of the Chippewa, Saint Louis, MO.

Loud. Smokey. Exceptionally good martinis. Very nice cigars. And some fine women.

This unassuming bar on Chippewa draws a great crowd, every one has a good time, and did I mention that the ladies who frequent this place a remarkably nice-looking.

I think it's the band.

Hey - make it a point to check out the folks at indieBOOM.com. In addition to Serapis, they are playing some nice indie stuff.

Old Friends / New Songs at Tuner's

A great time was at Tuner's, on Main Street in Saint Charles last weekend.

Old friend / fellow musician / state huge-wig Bruce Clements stopped by on his way home from a Bioterrorism conference in Washington D.C. Todd and Bruce played in the band together at Jefferson Junior High under Mel Briedenbach back in 19£æ. (Sorry - computer glitch) Bruce is a former Holtzinger member - as are Gene, Tony, and Todd.

Speaking of past Holtzingers, the DeSplinters were there - Randy, Joan, and Kevin, joined by former high school band direct and still music stud, Bob Schleinat.

We did some stuff from our forthcoming, as yet untitled cd, met new friends, saw old friends....had a great time.

Wedding next Saturday.

Serapis.

PS. Hey - look for our friends The Pulsators, with Rick Clifford on sax, with a couple things on YouTube - one tune with Tommy Tutone, another without him.
