Playing With the Legends

Pop quiz:

Q. What do these performers have in common - Elvis Presley, Chet Atkins, Roy Orbison, the Everly Brothers, Willie Nelson, and Serapis?

A. They've all recorded at RCA Studio B, in Nashville, TN.

It was pretty unbelievable. You don't really have to be a country music fan to appreciate playing on the same piano that was used to record "Are You Lonesome Tonight" and "Oh, Pretty Woman", or recording with Chet Atkins amplifier.

The Serapis Tour Bus (The Sarcophagus) rolled into Music City Friday afternoon with a polilce escort. (OK, actually they were chasing us - but we lost them in a construction zone).

Working on material for a new cd, we spent the weekend recording (until 1:00AM). We laid down several new songs, and even re-worked a couple old favorites. We will continue recording at the RCA Studio, as well as Imagitrax in St. Louis.

Nick Spezia was the engineer for the project, and we all had a blast.

Pictures will be up in a day or two.
